Background Check Fee Reduced
Effective October 1, 2007, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has changed the fee
that they are charging to process their portion of background checks.
Therefore, OFI has reduced the background check fee from $50.00 to $45.25 per person to
reflect this change.   If you are submitting a new application or renewal application
 which requires a background check to be performed, the fee is now $45.25 per person.

4-6 weeks MINIMUM processing time
2 sets of fully completed fingerprint cards
with clear fingerprints

Effective August 15, 2005, obtaining a passing grade on a pre-licensing test is
required prior to becoming a licensed originator.
